Here are a few planets from the 'Knights of the old Republic' games. [/u][/b] [li]Inhabiting Species: Human, Misc.[/li][li]Language: Galactic Basic[/li][li]Capitol: Taris[/li][li]Description: Much of the surface of Taris is covered by a sprawling super-city of the same name, the product of a century of unchecked development. The population is split along caste levels, with the Upper City housing the noble and business elite, and the Lower City essentially a vast slum. Below them both is the Under City, the highly toxic foundation that the whole system is slowly sinking into. Mutated and diseased creatures known as Rakghoul hunt in these depths, though settlements of people rejected by both layers of the city do exist.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: None[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabiting Species: Selkath, Human, Misc.[/li][li]Language: Selk, Galactic Basic[/li][li]Capitol: Ahto[/li][li]Description: Mannan is a water world with only one major surface settlement: the city of Ahto. Built on banks of repulsors to keep it afloat, Ahto is a cosmopolitan metropolis designed to facilitate trade with visiting alien species. Though the Selkath have no need of surface dwellings, this accommodation was vital, as Manaan produces one of the most consistently valuable resources in the galaxy: Kolto. A liquid used in med packs and other medical equipment, kolto only occurs naturally on Mannan, and has been exported by the Selkath for centuries.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: In the game, you also get to explore under-water research complexes, and we could possibly add new floating cities to make it more choosy. Or wait! In the game, they had the city divided into sections. We could just do that.[/li][/ul]

Here are a few from the movies: [/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Human. Misc.[/li][li]Description: The planet is geologically unique, and its bizarre structure remains unexplained by the few planetologists who have visited it. Rather than consisting of a magma core and a rocky crust, Naboo is instead a very ancient planetary body with no molten core. A tremendous honeycomb structure surrounds the largest solid bodies of rock, which are thousands of miles in diameter. This cave-filled rock formation structure pervades much of the planet's interior, reaching the surface to create myriads of swampy lakes between the interior land masses and the open seas.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: None[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Human, Misc.[/li][li]Description: As seen in A New Hope, the illuminated side of Alderaan was blue with vast oceans and generous white cloud cover. Clearly it is an Earthlike world with a dichotomous crust divided into distinct continental (granitic, light, thick) and oceanic (basaltic, dense, thin) slabs. The low elevation of the oceanic crust causes most of the world's water to settle into large, continuous oceans, rather than sitting as isolated lake chains as on Endor or Yavin 4, with their singular crustal structures.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: Yeah, yeah, we all know that Alderaan was killed by the Death Star, but let's just bring her back for the sake of another planet, shall we? ^^[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Misc.[/li][li]Description: The surface of Dagobah, seen from high in the atmosphere or from orbit, appears to be nearly evenly covered in dark green jungle foilage and brown muddy lakes. The fact that the lakes are muddy is important. It means that the water is either too shallow to appear blue (perhaps less than a few feet deep), or else there are processes preventing the mud particles from settling to the bottom. Perhaps this is due to bottom-dwelling biota stirring the silt, or the mud may actually be living plankton-like life (or the organic remains).[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: We could possibly make slummy cities here, or camps for each faction.[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Human, Misc.[/li][li]Description: The only rocky areas seen to date served as the foundations of a large city. It looks like an outcrop of vertical basalt columns standing several hundred metres above the mudline. Refuse and sewerage are laid indiscriminately at the base of this island, where populations of various large and small animals (including introduced dianoga pests) feast on the detritus. The cosmopolitain city itself is enclosed within a canopy made of translucent bubble domes which are kilometres in diameter. The reason for this shell is not clear; the weather during Skywalker's visit was sunny and placid. Perhaps the moon is subject to episodes of violent wind and storms. Perhaps the moon's citizens suffer predation from flying animals, or sapient raiders in the air or space?[/li][li]Pictures: Unavailable[/li][li]Extra: I suggest we just find a random art picture and use it for a picture. We need it to fit the description.[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Misc.[/li][li]Description: Visually, the planet Yavin is a baleful orange globe partly streaked with clouds that are slightly lighter than the general tone. The streaks do not seem to form well-defined cloud bands like those of Jupiter, although they do seem roughly aligned and each streak seems to stretch across a large fraction of the planet's circumference. The causes of gas-giants' cloud colours are not yet well understood, but it must have something to do with trace chemicals present at different altitudes. The surprising blandness of Yavin's face suggests that either the atmosphere is more homogeneous than Jupiter's, or else the uppermost visible layer obscures lower cloud levels completely. Perhaps there is a haze of photochemicals high above the windy, banded regions of the atmosphere, or perhaps the colouration has something to do with the presence of airborne life.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: We could probably create cities, or space ports here.[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Human, Misc.[/li][li]Description: Despite being of a size similar to Earth, Yavin 4 appears to have a very different surface and interior. The topography is very flat and simple. There are no large or distinct oceanic basins; the water is instead spread across the whole globe with the largest bodies being lakes and isolated inland seas. For terrestrial worlds in general, surface elevation is mainly determined by underlying crust composition. The local density of rock determines the local thickness of the crust, as it floats on top of the mantle. In order to cause inter-regional variations of dozens of kilometres in elevation, for true ocean basins, the gross composition of the crust must be divided into continental and oceanic components with grossly different composition. Sections of crust with a light, granite-like composition ("sial") tend to be thicker, giving continental masses. Dense basalt-like crust ("sima", as in Earth's ocean floors), must be thinner to achieve the same buoyant equilibrium. The lack of relief on Yavin 4 implies that the moon's crust has a fairly uniform composition.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: Highly forested.[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Wookie, Misc.[/li][li]Description: A lush world teeming with immense forests, Kashyyyk is the barely tamed home of the mighty Wookiees. This Mid Rim planet is the principal world of the Kashyyyk system, a star system that also contains the homeworld of the reptilian Trandoshans. The close proximity of these worlds and a deep-rooted cultural animosity has fueled many altercations between the two physically powerful species throughout their history.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: None[/li][/ul]
[/u][/b] [li]Inhabitants: Human, Misc.[/li][li]Description: Korriban is the only planet within the Horuset System, and is the burial ground of the Sith Empire and as such is a sacred planet for the Sith order. Before Naga Sadow revealed himself, the planet was completely unknown to the Republic. The planet has seven moons, most of which are as desolate as the planet itself. The Sith Lords erected huge palaces and burial complexes to honor their fallen Dark Lords, but after the fall of the Sith Empire, the planet lost most of its prominence, although when Darth Malak reigned, the planet became home to the settlement of Dreshdae and a Sith training academy. But the planet was again abandoned when Revan killed Malak and the Sith order collapsed into civil war.[/li][li]Pictures: [/li][li]Extra: None[/li][/ul]

Now that was awsome! Though one extra detail for kashyyk is the shadowlands where a tarrentek awaits hidden in the dense foliage. The Tarrentek is a massive force sensitive creature somewhat rancore like but not that huge. There is one way to reach a terrentek and that is by giving an offering at the holy ground like area. On tatooine there is also the Massive Krayt Dragon. On onderan there are also the Zakkeg. Therse could be used for hunting quests. Krayt Dragon

We have tons of planets now. Don't worry, we've only been up for a day. Were still working everything out, were not nearly finished. Be patient please.

Yeah but it don't hurt any and it passes the time and it will help the moderators in the future for more in depth world design.

Taris was destroyed in the first KOTOR game, how can it be a planet?
besides,if we brought alderaan back(no matter how cool it would be)than the story loses realistic weight.

I think it would be wise to add Korriban since it is a very important planet for the Sith and it is a cool planet because of the many tombs (wanna-be archaeologist speaking here ) Tombs are cool. ;D

Tombs are not scary, they are fascinating! They are cool to explore (not that I have explored one though) but they it sounds cool to explore them

Korriban would be nice. Not only are tombs cool, the Sith (if there are any left after RotJ) need a home planet.

well instead of having Alderaan, you could have New Alderaan, or what ever it is called. In a EU book Han wins a planet in a game or something and he gives it to the Alderaan survivors.
