Asano came slowly walking down the street. He had just walked...well, too far. Stupid cab drivers... His grey cloak had been...uncomfortably hot. It IS a desert...well, his hood was up, covering his face, shielding from light and heat. He waved to the passerbys, wondering what to do.

Walking the opposite way of Asano, she caught his wrist as he was waving, and lowly she whispered a bit of advice.
"I don't reccommed you do that in this district..."

Asano turned a bit. He had a few options. A) Ignore. Not nice B) Flash a reason why he doesn't care...hm... C) Ask why. >.>;;
He looked over at her, under the hood. Ah, screw it. He took of the hood, showing his windblasted face. "Why do you think so?" He asked, his face confused, yet friendly all at once.

"It's not very safe in this part of town," she replied to him simply. "Do you come here often?" she asked quickly.
((I gtg, I'll check back on your reply tomorrow))

"I'm not exactly worried about safety." He said, with a slightly...mean...grin. o.O;; It changed quickly, only a hint of a grin, and was back to friendly-ness. "Been here once before. And you?" He said, pushing his cloak out around him to cool off. Of course, this had the unfortunate side effect of exposing his two lightsabers...but...okay...x.x;; They were of average length. Well, the hilts were. One was a dark grey, this was his preferred one. The other's hilt was like Luke's, but more silvery. o.O;

The slight grin that showed through his friendly facade made Sahara feel as if something very cold had attacked her innards. She felt a bit insecure, as if perhaps her action were the unsafe one, but she hid the fear. Or, at least... she tried to.
However, she did not feel safe enough to answer his inquiries. Rather, she tried to dodge them. "What..." She eyed his sabers quickly as he flipped his cloak. She knew then, that she was landing herself in more trouble. She had seen sabers like that before, but not enough to be comfortable about it.
She paused to lick her lips, and began again. "What... What business are you here for, sir? Is there anywhere you need to go?" She tried to sound professional, and to appear unchanged, but it's not to say she was very good at it.
She dawned her practiced smile once more.

Asano didn't use his Force power to look into her mind to see what was going on through her head. He didn't have to, and didn't want to. He saw it as an invasion of privacy, with no equal, and did it rarely. Depending on his mood. Throughout the years, Asano had become rather proficient at reading people's expressions, and he felt that he had some explaining to do. "If I startled you, I apologize." A light bow, and he continued. "I am a pretty nice guy, I think, unless I'm fighting. Or caught on a bad day. Neither is true now, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about from me." He smiled. He did not say how he wasn't nice during battles, but he didn't think that was needed. He kept smiling, as he thought carefully about her question. "Actually, no. I tend just to wander at random." He looked up a bit. "The fact that I seem to be well-known to the Taxi services prove that..." He trailed off. And they don't like me in the least bit... was implied, but not spoken. He turned back to look at her with a grin.
A pause. "Oh, very sorry. My name is Asano." He nodded, as he had remembered what he had forgotten to do.
As a side note, his hands were loose, at his sides. There was always the inherant possibility of an attack, so Asano rarely, if ever, showed total defenseless-ness. This is something, though. Normally, the saber's hilt would be in his hand, unignited. Now, they both just hang at his belt.

She listened as he tried to explain himself to her; a rather odd action for a stranger without some plot in mind, she thought.
"Asano... I'll remember that," she replied as he introduced himself. "I beg your pardon, Asano, but I would rather you wouldn't associate me with those Taxi services..." she spat the word 'Taxi' with a tinge of disgust in her tone, "They're too easy to manipulate, and they cramp my style." She explained this with such a tone explaining that she had been there before, and had not quite enjoyed it. In fact, this was one of the 'minor troubles' she had once landed herself in, and now avoids it for that reason. She peeked over her shoulders discreetly to make sure none of the service were around to hear, and returned her attention to Asano, whose hands were now at his sides. A friendly gesture, she marked, and it made her feel better that he was not arming himself.
But the moment you turn your back, Sahara, they can be armed very quickly... she reminded herself.

Asano blinked. "A tad uptight, are we?" He said, cocking an eyebrow. "...I don't blame you."
"Oh, and...the Taxi services seem to...eh...dislike me now. Something about not paying. I don't know what their problem is, honestly." He grinned. "I won't be using them again..."
Read into this: Asano's flat broke, yet somehow got to use the taxis. Twice.

She nodded as he explained his reasons for disliking the services.
She held out a hand in friendly greeting, finally. "Sahara. I know this town like the back of my hand, though it's not to say I enjoy it... So if you're ever in need of a quick escape route, you know who to call." She spoke with a tone all too eager to leave this planet and it's twin hot suns.

Asano grinned. "Nice to meet you, Sahara." He shook her hand. "That's always a good thing...knowing how to get around." Asano...has no navigation skills. The only thing keeping him alive here is luck. And...oh. Nothing else. "I hope to find a way off this place soon...but, with no money..." and the hatred of the taxi guys his mind filled in..."I've only got one idea." He nodded. This is not the kind of thing you'd expect from a Jedi. "Next freighter I see..." He chuckled, trailing off. It was a...sound idea. Sort of. Assuming Asano can be fast...

Sahara grinned at his implication of a plan. She wasn't on the straight-and-narrow, entirely, herself.
"Not a bad plan. I've watched a number of them come and go... I don't so much care for some of their guards, though..." she grimaced at a few harsh memories. Ha, troubles...

"Ah, I'm betting they're not to bright. Or brave. Probably the kind that want to beat up weaker people. God, I hate that kind." Yet another grin at this. Oh, yes yes. A Jedi saying he hates something. And *not* exaggerating. Asano has no problems with using force to do that kind of thing. How much...his reasoning is complicated. "I bet they'd scram the second I light this thing off." He motioned to his preferred 'saber. The other...was...a bit of a reserve. "And, they'd remember me if I did so." He hinted at his...customization of the 'saber. If you call it that.

"..." Only a glance at the saber, once more.
She paused.
"We had might as well check their docking scheduals, then..." she provided.

Asano, looking at her, instantly figured out that what he had said...was the wrong thing to say. He sweatdropped. "Eh...yeah...heh...So, what planet will you be looking for?" >_>; He was about to start walking to the docking port...but...alas, he doesn't KNOW where frieghters dock. And he's not about to try jumping aboard a taxi...
